Hello, friends! I am from Seattle, WA, and I have been studying movement forms for more than a decade. My background includes sports, such as soccer and ultimate frisbee, competitive dancing, teaching dance classes, and for the last few years I have worked as a massage and fascial stretch therapist, dance teacher, and corrective exercise specialist.
I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Exercise Science and Psychology. With experience working in injury rehabilitation, I constantly seek to help people with acute and chronic injuries, and in educating clients on injury prevention, teaching exercises focused on increasing strength, mobility, or stability.
I am also certified in kinesiotaping and am a certified multi-style yoga teacher.
I offer a variety of modalities such as Swedish relaxation massage, invigorating and fast-paced sports massage, injury treatment, and myofascial techniques, such as Fascial Stretch Therapy. My massage style typically combines at least several of these techniques, creating an interactive experience that involves the healing properties of human movement. This also allows me to work deeper, assisting in decreasing fascial adhesions, and increasing joint and muscular range of motion.
I have had the joy of working at many events worldwide. Most of these events are dance festivals and sporting events, such as dance events in Europe, Mexico, Brazil, India, and throughout the United States. I have volunteered my massage therapy services with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Swim Across America, and other fundraisers, as well as offered bodywork at corporate events.
Dance—specifically Brazilian Zouk—travel, and the study of human movement are my greatest passions. When not traveling, dancing and moving my body, or offering bodywork, I can be found outside exploring nature, reading, or caring for my assortment of green plant friends.
